CannLabs Test Results: 71.01% THC

Altitude Organic first made a splash years ago when they came out with the first branded ‘Caviar’ (hash-oil infused nuggets rolled in kief) distributed around town. Now the dispensary has another gem circulating through Denver stores on the wholesale market: Colorado Clear. One of the first well-marketed dab-able solventless concentrates, this one sets a high potency precedent by testing at solvent levels (a very admirable 71.01% THC).
Our helping of the potent potable was light-complexioned and crumbled in thin crisps. Critics noted a bouquet of aromatic variety: it was was tart and peppery specimen with a lingering pine tree perfume. A berry--even definitively “concord grape”--taste sprung forth with the dab, which smoked clean and clear. Another critic brought out a bowl of opium-blueberry and it worked well as a topper.
Immediate effects were pulverizing. The space-out was immediate, as if sucked down a…

So many dispensaries now package their own cones or joints, but few have gone to the work of producing a product that actually discourages you from rolling your own. Leave it to quality-based  Altitude Organic Medicine to put forth such a line: the wholesaleable Black Label takes their regular ground-nugget Canna Cones to a new level with Colorado Gold, their branded solvent-free organic hash. As the brand slogan accurately suggests, “Anything else is just a joint.”

Our sample pack had a nug base of Dr. Who. Fresh aromas exploded from the box, a mixture of citrus and organic tart of pine, half-sweet, half-sour. The taste also echoed of lemon; the entire palate of flavors followed-through, and thankfully survived more than just a few hits, as the cone made its way around the room.

The hash was well-distributed and smoked clean and clear for the full-duration with the perfect “punch.” First…

If you’ve ever wandered aimlessly through a dispensary, unsure of what savvy new delicacy to sample, it pays big to think outside the box. Gorilla Glue #4 Rosin from Altitude Organic Medicine (AOM) is one of those prime examples. With the potent genetics of Chemsis, Chocolate Diesel and Sour Dubb, this award-winning favorite just got a verdant makeover by AOM’s solventless experts.

Our sample came to us with the appearance of a luxurious boutique-made soap, pungently peppery, and sticky as the actual adhesive. With a pleasantly surprising simplicity, the viscosity made for a nice dab; very little was left on the wax paper to waste. The artisan quality was on showcase as the specimen easily pulled apart into small tacky balls, leaving little residue on the fingers, save the pleasurable fragrance.

The first hit immediately put us in the backs of our seats but the full impact was delayed. It…

Some Cadets will come out of the woodwork, traveling long distances--just to grab a handful of dependable, connoisseur’s Grape Ape. There are a lot of imitators, and amateur growers that can affectionately refer to any purple indica as such. But the genuine phenotype has just the right combination of elements to create a cult following: taste, experience, and of course, that branded purple sheen.

Altitude Organic Medicine--who is soon to open their first recreational outlet in Dillon--is rapidly emerging as a premiere cannabis brand in Colorado. The quality of their organic process was evident in the flower: it left us salivating from first sight. The nug was dressed in “pure trich cover,” and coat of red hairs like a silverback gorilla. Dense, dark and hairy, the stickiness stayed on our fingers, as we passed the bud ‘round the room to marvel at its brilliant purple. The grind revealed--as expected, a…
