TLDR; Non-Compliant, Racially Biased, Greedy, Immoral Racketeering “Share details of your personal experience at this place.” Yikes. Where to begin? I started coming here for the friendly environment and the customer forward approach. I was stoked to become a budtender at this shop for about 4 weeks. Before you accuse any of what I’m about to say for being of being a “disgruntled ex-employee”, understand that I’ve been working in the industry since it’s inception during the big boom in Colorado. I was a badged, full time, state certified supplier of medical marijuana to patients in need, on the forefront of revolutionizing the marijuana industry that set the blueprint for states like Oklahoma to have a medical marijuana program. I understand better than anybody the Wild Wild West nature of places like this, so I’m always cautiously optimistic. But this shop operated like shops I remember back home, and I truly thought I found a family to work for that was honest and deserving of all the experience, knowledge and sales I could provide in order to put food on their kids table. TJ I have a lot of respect for, and nothing I’m saying applies to him, because it’s his father Marcus Spriggs who runs the show. Which brings me to why this place should no longer stay open and operational, nor does it deserve any support from any medical marijuana patient. I’m calling for a boycott on Kissing Clouds and their products. After faithfully carrying out my duties, and being a good, honest, flexible employee (even maintaining a second job during a pandemic), Marcus decided to fire me for no other reason than the fact that he has a bias in his heart for some of employees and not others. Unfortunately I think the reason for this is because Marcus has some contempt for white people, just like a lot of their crowd. Completely utterly disrespectful clients, hurling racial slurs, never have their card, still allowed to be served. Cleanliness standards are extremely low. I also would not go for their pre-rolls if I were you, as I’ve seen loose flower sit for days collecting dust. The edibles, if they’re not expired on the shelf, have given my good friends who I brought to shop there as customers symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and convulsions. I’ve never been so personally violated by a job before in my life. I was notoriously friendly and cheerful with anybody who walked in the door, as the bright kid in the room. The only reason Marcus “sent me home for the day” is because in a moment where he was bearing down on me, trying to intimidate me for control, I let him know that I wasn’t okay with being disrespected and treated so poorly when I was going above and beyond there. It just didn’t make sense why he was singling me out, and everyone’s afraid of Marcus for his reputation. Well I’m not afraid Marcus Spriggs, and this is me putting you on notice. Your token white kid isn’t just gonna stay silent. I tried to be nice, and to be cool, and to be a sport. Even your son, your 19 year old son, is one of my best friends. I don’t see how he could stand to deal with your behavior. He actually was at my house the night before he left for California. Despite all of this, I still stop and shop sometimes just to see my boys, who all tell me they miss me. I run into customers on the street who ask, “where have you been man?? You were the coolest budtender up there wtf!” Now I’m gonna use my audience, my resources, and my connections within the OMMA to see to it this place is closed for good. I will also be filing a lawsuit for discrimination, and holding their feet to the fire for all the sketchy things they’ve been doing that are damaging to the movement we all worked so hard for in passing 788. Budtenders are the bread and butter for a shop owner, sadly this place knows that, but doesn’t care. Thank you for reading.
