Atomic Northern Lights’ story starts with an Afghani indica brought to the U.S. and joined with Thai Haze to make the award-winning Northern Lights. From there, unconfirmed sources online say Canada’s Dr. Atomic recombined Northern Lights with strains previously used in its family tree to get Atomic Northern Lights. The resulting moderate-THC strain delivers woody, sweet, or sometimes peppery flavors, and a pungent floral aroma.

Grow Information

The short, bushy plant flowers in about eight to nine weeks when grown indoors or in mid-October when grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere. It grows best outdoors in a warm climate. The original Northern Lights strain has a slightly longer flowering period, so indoor growers of Atomic Northern Lights can benefit from reaping an additional harvest or so per year when choosing this cultivar.
