The name is an ode to Hall of Fame Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders, but the origins of this cultivar are not as obvious. Michigan-based breeders Mota Rebel have crossed their proprietary Lung Candy with Blue Mountain Berry to form one variety of Berry Sanders, though there are others. Wherever the strain comes from, its THC content can vary wildly from a low estimate of 9% all the way up to 27%. Probing beyond the top scent layer of blueberry, users will discover earthier, muskier tones along with a bit of skunk.
