HYBRID
Chem Sister, also known as Chem’s Sister or Chem Dog’s Sister, is the first strain to branch off of the famed Chem Dog tree. As the story goes, the original Chem Dog was one of four seeds sprouted by a Grateful Dead fan named Chemdog in 1991. The others were Chem Dog A (now Chem’s Sister), Chem Dog D, and a male that was disposed of, according to several sources. The line is supposedly descended from an unknown lineage that probably contains Nepali and Thai genetics. Chem’s Sister is mostly sativa. The top reported aromas of Chem’s Sister are pungent skunk, diesel, lemons, and wood. And it is said to taste like sweet lemons and pine. Chem’s Sister is the winner of the following awards: 2016 3rd place medical hybrid High Times’ Cannabis Cup
Grow Information
Chem’s Sister is a sativa-dominant, clone-only phenotype of Chem Dog. Chem’s Sister, like her siblings, is sensitive to moisture and therefore, susceptible to mold and mildew problems. This leads to many growers choosing to cultivate the strain indoors so they can better control the environmental conditions. Chem’s Sister has an average flowering time between 70 and 84 days indoors and late October to early November outdoors. It is known to produce medium-sized yields of very sticky, resinous buds in ideal conditions. Chem’s Sister grows best indoors with Screen of Green (ScroG) though odor-control measures may be needed. Chem’s Sister is not available as seeds or clones.
