Established in 2014 Established in 2014 but our story truly began in 2012 when owners Bill and Adriane Polyniak began lobbying for their son Colten to have legal access to CBD extracts for the hopeful possibility of it reducing his seizure activity. Fortunately for Colten and many other children whose parents also advocated for similar reasons, hemp and its extracts were made legal. Bluegrass Hemp Oil was originally established as Kentucky Cannabis Company in 2014 as the only cannabidiol (CBD) specific cultivator and producer in the state of Kentucky. In 2015 we opened our CBD retail space under the name Bluegrass Hemp Oil (or BHO) while maintaining Kentucky Cannabis Co as our parent company, as well as, cultivator and processor. To this day we remain fully vertically-integrated and handle all stages of the process from our farm to your family and Colten is now 7 years seizure and pharma free!
