Homegrown Healthcare in Winthrop was founded by husband-wife team Glenn and Catherine Lewis in 2010, who shared a vision to provide the patients of Central Maine a complete wellness and holistic learning center that specialized in medical cannabis. The couple sought to offer individuals a way to improve mental, physical, and spiritual health naturally. The result of their efforts was Homegrown Healthcare: a one-stop shop for patients, caregivers, and the public to explore and discover the healing wonders of cannabis and holistic remedies. They opened a second medical shop in Hallowell in 2018 with their son Nicholas, converting to Adult Use in July of 2022. And the family supports two independently owned franchise locations.
