My name is Carson Grant and I am the owner of NY Elite Cannabis. I have been blessed with being selected as 1 of the 36 people selected to receive a license to open a adult-use recreational cannabis dispensary in November 2022. This opportunity is given to me by the OCM (Office of Cannabis Management). I am truly grateful for this life-changing event.

A little about me: I am a immigrant from Jamaica W.I. My parents, my sister and I left Jamaica in 1987 to come to the US for opportunities. We moved in with my grandmother in Hollis Queens. I have lived in Hollis and Jamaica Queens since 1987. This is my home and I love it with all my heart. I went to the local public schools PS 34, IS 109, and eventually graduated Martin Van Buren High school. I also went to Queensborough Community College.

Queens is my home and I chose it as my top pick to open a dispensary. The first thing I would like to do is build a dedicated team that loves cannabis and are thrilled to educate others about the various uses and products. Such as CBD, edibles, cannabis products/flowers, vape pens etc. I would love for the majority of my team to be Queens residents. I plan on also focusing on hiring anyone who has experienced injustice with cannabis arrests/convictions. Basically, I want to give back to my community other than taxes.
