Secret Formula

Pro Gro was founded in 2011 in East Lansing by Sam Usman, Jr. who was born and raised here in the city. (We're not sure if he loves weed or the Spartans more.) His journey with cannabis started in the early days of the caregiver market providing premium-quality medicine to patients in Michigan. His vision is to create a world in which cannabis has improved the mind, the body, and the soul of entire communities. Self-funded from the start, Sam has overcome man challenges with the state's evolving market. He has lobbied for pro-cannabis reformation at the state and local level since 2010 and was on the drafting committee for the ballet initiative for legalization. His reputation is widely known for selling top-shelf cannabis and growing rare strains that aren't easily accessed by other cultivators. He's built long-standing relationships with some of the top genetic breeders in the world, like Archive Seed Bank, Skunkhouse, D.E.O. Farmz, and Wizard Trees, that allowed ProGro to really solidify its mark in the cannabis industry.

In addition to providing high-quality cannabis to the consumers, Pro Gro strives to give back to the community that lifts us. We sponsor and participate in annual food drives for the Greater Lansing Food Bank, annual toy drives, host an annual expungement clinic and participate in other expungement clinics, employee gardening days for the Greater Lansing Food Bank, donate to the South Lansing Community Development Association, donations to a women's shelter in Muskegon, donation to the Firecracker Foundation that aims to protect children from sexual violence, and annually donate pallets of water to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
