I was in search of dried sliced hawthorn berries for tea when I stepped into Khan Hing Tong. The only employee I saw was a man sitting behind the counter fixated on his iPad. I said good morning to him in Chinese & handed him a small piece of paper with the name of what I was looking for in English. He stood there in a daze & slightly shook his head. For heavens sake, here he has an iPad & common sense tells me he could have typed up the words I had written on the piece of paper & Googled it. I guarantee photos of the item of interest & Chinese characters would tell him exactly what I had in mind. I had to go up & down each aisle looking for those berries myself. Rating for the employee, he has a 3 N personality: NO GREETING, NO SMILE & DEFINITELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
