U.S. Virgin Islands Medical Marijuana Regulations

Age Restrictions:

"Qualifying Patient" means a person who has been diagnosed by a practitioner as having a debilitating medical condition.

Qualifying Ailments:

"Debilitating medical condition" means cancer, glaucoma, HIV, AIDS, Hep C, ALS, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, agitation of Alzheimer's disease, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, hospice care, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, arthritis, diabetes, chronic pain, neuropathic pain, or the treatment of these conditions; a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or its treatment that produces one or more of the following: cachexia or wasting syndrome; severe, debilitating pain; severe and persistent muscle spasms including, but not limited to, those characteristic of multiple sclerosis; any other condition or its treatment added by the OCR. Possession Limits:

4.0 ounces of cannabis or the quantity of cannabis products as established by OGR regulation. Title 19 Chapter 34 §775(a).

Type of Product:

"Cannabis" means all parts of the Cannabis plant, growing or not; the seeds thereof; the resin extracted from any part of the plant; and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the plant or its seeds or resin. It does not include the mature stalks of the plant, fiber produced from the stalks, oil or cake made from the seeds of the plant, any other compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the mature stalks, except the resin extracted therefrom, fiber, oil, or cake, or the sterilized seed of the plant which is incapable of germination. Consumption Rules:

Smoking cannabis is prohibited on any form of public transportation or in any public place or any place that is open to public use. Title 19 Chapter 34 §781(a)(3).
