The Big Smoke is a cigar event sponsored by Cigar Aficionado magazine and held in NY, Las Vegas and Florida every year. It is expensive running about $375 per person to enter but it is worth it. Forty of the top cigar manufacturers set up booths and give cigars out to all participants. A great way to fill up your Humidor and meet with the cigar makers and discuss their wares. Plus at least ten booths sponsored by alcohol companies pouring generous samples of Tequila, Single Malt, and bourbon for you to try. Throughout the venue there are food stations with carved meats, steak and enough other types of eatables that you might think you are at an expensive wedding. And you can smoke! Feel free to light up and enjoy one of the free stogies given out during the event. This year I attended the event in Las Vegas at the Mirage hotel and I suggest that if you attend you stay at the hotel hosting the event. You will not be in shape to do much traveling once the party is over.
