We walked by the small restaurant at lunchtime and I did a double take. Salvadoran food in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. We went in and met the gracious owner. She helped us with ordering: Two Pupusas' one pork and cheese, one beef, bean and cheese. Also ordered one chicken, and one beef tamale. We received the tamales first, and they were larger than I expected. Wonderful tasting, a little corn with the meat and sauce, and they had a perfect corn tamale covering. (Not Thick And Dry) We loved them. The Pupusas' were freshly made, slightly similar to a quesadilla, with a light pancake type tortilla covering both sides of the pork, beans and cheese. The Chef/Owner explained the cabbage topping, and the salsa. Delivered freshly made, hot, and had a subtle mix of flavors that we completely enjoyed. Now We need to make a return trip to try her other entrées.
