At the same time he was fascinated by the aroma and presence of the tobacco industry in Cuba. He learned all about tabaco farming. After establishing himself as a crasftman of fine woods, he began to elaborate tabaco accessories. In 1902 his son Jose Borges joined him in the Family business, together they created a business that became renowned for its quality wood-works and expertise.
