Established in 1997 Doug Gianforte and Pete Garzia enjoy cigars. Their enjoyment became knowledge, and knowledge became expertise. But being a cigar aficionado is more than just a hobby, it's a lifestyle. It's about taking the time to savor the small, joyful moments of life with good friends. While the rest of the world is constantly stuck in "fifth gear," the cigar aficionado knows when to slow down, relax and enjoy life. In 1997, at the conclusion of a successful construction project in Pittsburgh, Doug and Pete decided to celebrate with their client on a trip to the Cigar Aficionado convention in Las Vegas. Their trip couldn't have happened at a better time - cigar imports were at their peak and the cigar business was beginning it's boom. After meeting manufacturers, vendors, retailers, and learning a lot more about the cigar business, it occurred to Doug and Pete that their home region of Chester County PA didn't have a good cigar store.
