Established in 1996 Why the name "Headed West"? The founder, Big Mike, grew up in and graduated college in Missouri. Once he completed school he borrowed money from his grandparents to buy inventory for his smoke shop and "Headed West" to Colorado. The original Headed West store opened off of Colfax in Denver. After 5 years the decision was made to move the store to Englewood and we opened up off of Broadway and Hampden. In 2006 we seized opportunity to move to a stand alone building with our own parking lot at our current location at 4811 S. Broadway in Englewood. Look for the Alice in Wonderland mural and that is how you know you have arrived at Headed West! Be sure to ask our staff about the history of our commissioned graffiti art - let's just say we fought the city of Englewood and with the help of the ACLU we won!
