Established in 1989 HQ Vape and Smoke aka The HeadQuarters is a family owned and operated shop in the Tempe area. HQ is a proud member of Local First AZ, a non-profit organization representing a coalition of locally-owned businesses which form the backbone of the AZ economy. The place where ASU students and faculty has been getting their smoking supplies for over 3 decades. Recognized by local publications as "a smokeshop with a conscience" that is known for great selection and service at a good price. HQ has received several awards from reader polls and editorial recognition; such as numerous New Times - Best of Phoenix awards (9), The Rep - Best in AZ, 944 Magazine, and more. The original location (7th and Forest) at the Oxford Plaza with the old half doors and high ceilings will be missed. When the building was torn down in '07 HQ moved a few blocks to the University Square next to a great mix of Classic Tempe businesses like Buffalo Exchange, Cowtown Skateboards, El Pollo Supremo and others.
