This is one of the nicest cigar spots I've stopped into in a long time. And it's in New York? I live in the state and cigars are taxed very heavily. What made this place enjoyable which I stopped by twice: The friendly cigar smokers / staff The quality of cigars First time here, there are a bunch of leather chairs up front. People are smoking and a few hellos are exchanged. I go in the back and pick a fresh Olivia. I pay and grab a seat. It's TV night and they're playing Logan's Run. Now I have seen this 70s cheesy movie. Anyone over 30? The government kills you. Smokey and the Bandit would have been my choice. Regardless of the movie choice, I enjoyed kicking back and smoking here. My last night here I planned it out, have a steak dinner and smoke a cigar before heading back home. I stop in, choose a cigar and notice the place has less smokers. I light up and a gentleman walks in and asks if he could join me at my table. I invite him to sit down. He says if we can drink here, I have a bottle of Bourbon? I'll get two glasses! Nice man, he was traveling thru town. There's a friendly vibe at this spot, so if you're in Saratoga Springs swing by James and Sons for all your tobacco needs.
