Established in 1860 In 1870, Libero Joseph Peretti came to Boston from Switzerland. Filled with an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for fine tobacco, L.J. established the "Peretti Cuban Cigar Co." in Boston. L.J.'s son, Joseph, aka "The Major", entered the family business. His first love was pipes & pipe tobacco. After World War II the third generation Peretti, Robert (Bob) entered the business. He was a tobacco legend in the U.S.A & internationally. He died in 2019 at 98. Peretti's is especially well-known among pipe smokers for its' expansive selection of hand-blended artisanal pipe tobacco blends that have been sold in yellow tins for decades. Also known nationwide for an extensive selection of premium hand-rolled cigars from makers such as Arturo Fuente, Cohiba, Davidoff & Padron & more. It's infamous 21/2 Park Square location remains largely unchanged & continues to be a popular destination for pipe and cigar smokers from all over the world & operates a successful online retail operation.
