A month ago I paid cash for a $35-40 vape. I know, you get what you pay for. The first few days it worked fine, but after about 4 days of very light use, it began tasting bad so I changed the coil. The second coil lasted about half a day, so I put a third coil in. Again, it lasted maybe a day. So, within the first week, I went back to the store. I was very nice, and I asked if any other customers that reported problems with the units. I inquired about their return policy, and of course it's a manufacturers 30 day warranty and it had to be returned to the manufacturer along with the receipt. Of course, I am an idiot and tossed the receipt at some point. I thought maybe I had a bad batch of coils, so I bought two more and tried it again and the new coils each lasted less than a day. I went back in the shop and very politely asked what we could do about this since I had lost my receipt. They said their register records only went back seven days. They wouldn't give me a handwritten receipt, but said they might give me a copy of a receipt the next time someone bought one, but never called me back. Now it's definitely out of warranty. Yes, it is my fault that I bought a cheap vape and then threw away the receipt. And i want to make it clear I didn't expect the store to exchange or refund for the unit, but I thought asking for a receipt to send in with my defective unit was a pretty reasonable request to have a satisfied customer.
