I went last summer for a bro weekend outing. To maximize our weekend we took my plane to Monterey. I brought my own cigars for the weekend but when we showed up to this place, we were delighted to see they had a public smoking room. So we ran to Costco in Sand City and brought back our choice of booze. Needless to say, we spent most of the entire day at the humidor. All of us are veterans, and the place filled up with students from DLI, so it was a fantastic experience talking to the young servicemen. One of my bros did combat tours in Iraq so he told stories. It was good fun. And there was MMA that night so, yeah. We were staying. We got so tanked. We also came back the next day, which was a Saturday, and did tons more drinking and smoking. The restaurant downstairs will deliver food. I can't tell you how many plates of appetizers we ordered. I enjoyed some really rare cigars that this place has stocked. I didn't mind paying $50 for a stick because I know how scarce they are. The owner gave me a tour of the private club area. Plenty of snacks for the members. One member homebrews beer and provides it to the members. Must be nice. Though the membership is quite expensive, I can see it being reachable for Monterey locals. It took a few washes to get the smoke odor to wash out of my clothes after that weekend. Great memories.
