HYBRID
Chemdawg, officially 'Chemdog', is a legendary hybrid strain with an uncertain genetic history, thought to be crossed from Thai and Nepalese sativa landraces. Origin stories include a seed exchange at a Grateful Dead concert and a Colorado strain called Dog Bud. Known for its distinct, diesel-like odor, it features 15-22% THC, providing a cerebral, creative, and relaxing high, beneficial for stress, anxiety, pain, PTSD, and depression. However, it may cause disorientation, paranoia (in excess), dry eyes, and mouth. It has strong diesel, earthy, pine, and citrus flavors. Chemdawg is a parent to Sour Diesel and OG Kush, and a staple in the U.S. cannabis market.
Grow Information
Chemdawg is tall, often exceeding 5 feet, needing early bending and pruning. Best grown indoors to prevent mold/mildew, with 8-10 weeks flowering time and yields up to 1.8 ounces per square foot. It's challenging to grow, requiring careful ventilation and humidity management. Strong aroma needs odor control. Outdoors, it requires a Mediterranean climate and can yield around 29 ounces per plant.
