This has always been a shady place and frankly an eyesore in my neighborhood, which is why I've mostly avoided it. But today I happened to pop in and quickly became the subject of discrimination. The cashier, a young angry Arabic man, basically refused to speak to me at all. I'm not sure if it's bc I'm Latina or have tattoos or both, but the disrespect was palpable. I wanted to return an item and he was completely disrespectful and refused to help me. Later, my boyfriend came down to talk to him and he said I was a liar, that I never asked to return it, and that he couldn't help us. Honestly the $20 is whatever, but I don't support racist businesses, especially in my own neighborhood.
