I had such a terrible experience in this particular store - Sunnyside Cannabis on Penn Ave in Pittsburgh, I will never shop there again. I stopped by to pick up balm - I had rotator cuff surgery and am in pain during the 5-month recovery and the balm is one of the only things that helps. I am also struggling with my brother's serious illness - he almost died two weeks ago and is back in the hospital. I received a call - and given the circumstances - I have to ALWAYS answer my phone. The room was empty, but your employee decided to scream across the room - YOU CAN'T TALK ON THE PHONE IN HERE!!!!! I had already placed my order and was waiting for it to be assembled, but I had to take the call and told them so and that it was a potential medical emergency and that I would leave but I would come back in a pay. On the way out, I said the same thing to those at reception who check IDs and buzz you in. They said nothing -- so I repeated "I already placed my order, but need to take this call and I want to come back in and pay for it." No acknowledgement that I was even saying something, but again, I NEEDED TO TAKE THE CALL OUTSIDE. When I finished the call, I came back in. Then I went up to reception and explained again that I had already placed and order and needed to pay for it, and the women just stared - no customer service skills AT ALL - just a stare. I explained again - THAT BLANK STARE. I said, "Look, take my phone. I didn't know it was a rule" It's not the LAW - that I do know. Cell phones are not prohibited in dispensaries by state law, but can be by the provider - like Sunnyside. Apparently, the reason is not for SPEAKING on phones (I had looked it up when I was screamed at for doing something wrong that I did not know was wrong) but it is for the privacy of other customers who worry about photos being taken. "I just need to go in and pay." Again, nothing - just THAT STARE - but I can see her mumbling into a microphone. No direct communication with me. No verbal cues. No indication that the door would be open - NOTHING. NO SKILLS AT HUMAN INTERACTION AT ALL -- NOT EVEN A LITTLE! I said, -- "ok here's my debit card. I just want to pay." Another blank stare. She had called the manager who then kicked me out for another 15 minutes! Because I needed the balm for my pain so badly, I stayed but am now SO aggravated, I would rather be in pain than to have spent even a penny in your store -- and remember, I am dealing with my brother who is close to death, and I TOLD THEM SO!!!!!! Honestly, I really didn't want the other products I bought any longer. I 'm a SIXTY SIX YEAR OLD WOMAN who was scolded for picking up a call during a particularly excruciating time in my life, POST SURGERY being told that in order to purchase my products, I had to wait outside the store in 29 degree weather, just to pay for products so I could get the balm. I am a rule follower and asked where the policy is posted; I hadn't seen it. There was no sign in the room that I took the call in, but there was a sign in a large waiting room, which I just walked through on the way to the registers, because the store was a ABSOLUTELY EMTPY except for me. I finally permitted back in the store and purchased the product - the initial guy who took my order and was collecting payment and HE was really nice. I had no plans to say a word in your store again (I just stared back at the women who refused to speak), but THIS EMPLOYEE WAS KIND. He apologized for his colleague - the woman who screamed at me for picking up my phone in an empty room in the first place - felt it was uncalled for and ridiculous and done with absolutely NO tack or professionalism. He shared with me that he had just lost his father, and he knows how rough loss is. I thanked him, but said, I don't know how I can possibly come into this store again after the way I was treated, and he said "Sorry - she should not have spoken to you like that." Bottom line -- I really like your product, but cannot come back to this store, and you are the only place in Pittsburgh that carries Alexia and I STILL won't return to this Sunnyside.
