Established in 2014 The concept of Vaper Basics began in February 2104 when I grew sick and tired of having to drive to San Marcos or Austin for my vaping supplies. Even when I worked in Austin, the trip to my shop of choice extended my drive time by 20 minutes, or more if there was any kind of traffic. We desperately needed a dedicated vape shop here in the Kyle/Buda area, but I struggled with getting a lease for several months. I decided to go ahead and launch an online store and I ordered a minimal amount of inventory that I could use to jump start a physical location when it became available. The last week of August I found a space to lease. I chose the smallest space because I was not 100% certain of how many in the community used electronic cigarettes, and again, because of the uncertainty, I chose not to spend a lot of money trying to remodel into a typical retail outlet. I instead moved my online home office into this location and added some necessary furniture. And, that is how Vaper Basics began
