Had a terrible experience at Total Wine Danvers today and won't be going back! It had been awhile since I'd shopped there but the first thing I noticed was that all of my "go to" wines were either out of stock or priced $2 or more higher than my new wine store. But my biggest issue was this...we decided to take advance the Winery Direct Event that's being offered...15% off 6 or more bottles of wines with yellow tags, choosing 3 of one & 3 of another which both had "yellow tags" indicating they were part of the offer. When we got to checkout we were told that only 3 bottles were "winery direct" so we couldn't get the 15% off. I went back to check, grabbed a manager and showed him the "yellow tag" .He said it was a mistake, removed the sign but said let's go to the register and I'll take care of it. As we headed to the register he stopped at another sign that said the offer wasn't eligible on wine prices ending in a 7. What?!?! So then he wouldn't make an adjustment. I was furious and said I wouldn't be coming back to which he simply said "I understand " ! What horrible customer service and I consider the signage on special offers to be contradictory and deceitful! I will never shop at Total Wine again. I will spend my money at an honest store with better prices & availability...Oakdale Liquours Tewksbury or One Stop in North Reading.
